Bodega Head hike features coastal views, brilliant sun and seafood

Like a diligent school teacher on a class excursion, hike leader Jim Moir kept counting heads to keep track of groups of Sunrisers and their guests who enjoyed a leisurely hike at Bodega Head on Saturday, February 17, 2018.

The beauty of sun, sea and rocky coastline inspired hikers to cruise the easy to moderate trail with slight elevations and safe paths, if you stayed away from the sheer drop on the side where cliffs meet the sea.

Whales failed to appear with the exception of sightings that were difficult to distinguish and verify.  Was that spouting spray or just a white cap?  However, birds were plentiful.  And Rotarians with birder backgrounds could easily identify them.
