Rotary Wheel Rolls
The Wheel of Rotary rolls far and wide!
Reporting from McCall, Idaho. This editor had ventured less than a mile along State Route 55. The highway borders Payette Lake in the four season recreation town of McCall, population 3200, and easily doubling to tripling in winter and summer. On a rarer straight section of the lake, the sign “Rotary Park” appeared.
Providing parking for nearly 50 cars, picnic, water access and enhanced landscaping, Rotary Park is a reminder of the local positive impact on community pride and civic visibility Rotarians make. The club has a maintenance committee to keep it attractive. Chartered in 1949, the Club has a strong emphasis on sports participation. They are a prime supporter of the City’s Winter Carnival and last summer, McCall Ball, an abbreviated softball game the whole family can enjoy.
Oh, did I report the fishing in Idaho is pretty good too!
This is Boulder Reservoir. It is being drained in anticipation of upcoming snowfall. Completely stocked, fish not harvested will perish in the ensuing winter harshness. Still, a two fish limit applies.
