The Program from September 19th - Membership Satisfaction Team Building

Last Thursday the Club had a different type of Assembly, where the results of the Membership Satisfaction Survey taken in August were discussed. Most of the meeting was devoted to round table discussion groups where members brainstormed on five different general areas of survey topics: Membership, Meetings, Service Projects, Club Leadership and Fundraising.
A lot of good ideas were proposed, with Board members sitting at each table taking copious notes which were collected by PE Paul O'Rear to be summarized and brought up at the next Board meeting or two as member-recommended Action Steps for pointing the club in the desired directions. At the end of the discussion each table gave a two-minute recitation of their best ideas to the rest of the club.
These summaries were provided by Jennifer Adams (Service Projects), Randy Seelye (Club Leadership), LIz (Membership), Roy Johnston (Meetings), and Paul (Fundraising). Some highlights from these summaries include: more service projects with less physical demands and more variation in scheduling; more extensive communications between the Board of Directors and club members with a goal of keeping everyone updated and giving people input opportunities; more emphasis on social media and potentially working with 20/30 club; giving some blockbuster speakers more time to speak and limiting the reliance on non-profit speakers; greater emphasis on telling guests that recognition (fines) is really all in good fun; and finding ways to bring donors into our events to increase our income for fundraising activities.
Thanks to everyone for participating and working to make our club even better! Well done.
