The Senator provided an extremely detailed update on State and Local issues of interest that included the State Budget, Housing Shortage, State Pensions, and Debt.
He outlined the need to spend more money on Public Education, including the providing of more slots for attendance at State Colleges and Universities while working toward free Community College Education.
The ongoing need to strengthen the entitlement process in order to provide more affordable housing to meet the demand of our chronic homeless crisis was also discussed.
He also provided his perspective on Highway Issues, Wildland Fires and related PG&E issues in the North State and the State plan for Senior Care.
His presentation was concluded with detailed responses to questions provided from the audience and a summary of additional new legislation currently being proposed to address various areas of concern State Wide.
