Arthur Chaney reviews his notes before addressing the Juneteenth Celebration at Windsors' Town Center. The event, hosted by Windsor Parks and Recreation, and organized by Windsor High School's Black Student Union.
Currently President of the Sonoma County Chapter, Arthur gave an informative summary of 100 Black Men of Sonoma County's role in developing strong leadership and scholastic skills in Black youth. Read more about 100 BMOSC at:

Students invited community leaders, exhibitors, speakers and engaging entertainers to commemorate the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863.
Originally observed in Galveston Texas on June 19, 1865 when 2,000 Union Army troops enforced the law in the previously Confederate Texas, Celebrations have continued and just this past week Congress enacted June 19th a National Holiday to observe the legislative abolition of Black Human slavery.
