Supporter of Sunrise' past, present and future is Merle Hayes. Assisting other members Peter Hoberg, Paul O Rear, Tom Eakin and Rich Randolph last Saturday secure safe storage for multiple club properties.
Boots, or sneakers on the ground, we got it done! Consolidating and inventorying club historic memorabilia to an easily accessible secure location will help preserve these records of club and member achievements. Two of six banners note ALL our Paul Harris Fellows, Two more club awards and two District awards and recognitions. Do you recognize a club flag you brought from travels? We display these at least annually as reminders of our depth of service and to inspire ongoing commitment to Service Above Self.
Peter and Paul carefully insert banners into protective (plastic) before placing in the vault/locked space.
It is up to us to keep these reminders an active element in club advancement ~if you have other hidden jewels of club history, let Club Admin Director Tom know.
By the way, guard dog service was provided by Merle's canine friend Lucy. She is available by special arrangement.
