Sunrise Celebrates 40 Years of Service
This last Saturday Sunrise celebrated 40 years of service and fellowship at the Santa Rosa Golf and Country Club.
We were joined by friends, colleagues, and fellow Rotarians, from local clubs and our 18 good friends from the Rotary Club of Kagoshima West.
The proceedings were MC’ed by President Lori, who accepted gifts from our guests from Kagoshima, as well as recognizing the Kagoshima Club President who made congratulations to all of us on our 40th Anniversary of Sunrise.

Throughout the evening presentations on our history of service were made starting with our Charter President, Warren Smith.

Following him were presentations by Shauna Lorenzen on Santa Rosa Kagoshima Student Exchange Program and International Students; John Jones on our International Programs; Dave Lorenzen on the Rotary Foundation; Penny Millar on District Events and Club Social; and Paul O’Rear on Fundraising and our Philanthropy.
They say that Rotary supports its communities with its time, talents and treasures. Saturday night it showed that Santa Rosa Sunrise has done just that with contributions of $2,278,064 to Local and International projects, thousands of hours of sweat and time, and RI Foundation Giving of $614,656 and creating 404 Paul Harris Fellows.
