Just imagine:
— Hamlet and Leartes singing a heartbreaking duet to Ophelia as they grieve over her grave?
— “The three witches” lifing their voices in harmony singing “Someday, Somehow, Somewhere?”
— Richard II, in prison, wailing out his grief and pain in a mournful refrain?
— Hearing Bob Dylan’s lyrics contrasted with Shakespeare’s commentary?
I have spent the past five summers attending Shakespearian plays at the famed Festival in Oregon. And I have not heard actors
who (as Lord Hamlet says) "Speak the speech trippingly on the tongue'" or act as beautifully and convincingly as these creative and talented young thespians.
They even do their own stunts with fight scenes comparable to the best action film! And as for their singing... Wow! (Have you ever seen a Shakespearian actor sing?) Well, see for yourself... I promise an amazing evening!
