The exciting art of reading...

Incredible photography accompanied by a wide variety of articles and inspiring stories are just some of the treats I look forward to whenever the Rotarian magazine appears in my mailbox. However, December's cover story that explores and broadens the scope and depth of what we call "reading" is a delight to the eye as well as the mind.
Tips on how to read BIG books, menus, speeches, Shakespeare and even the night sky are followed by typeface puzzles, EKG patterns and even a sneak peek into Tarot reading.

As a Montessori teacher (in a former life) I often shared the joy of a child who newly discovers reading. And then experiencing how this skill expands their world, bringing new excitement and awareness, everywhere they turn. With this article, I can almost feel the same way. I have now gained the ability to peer into the night sky and actually read the heavens above. I can also delve deep into the mystical insights of the tarot.
