This photo is a portrait of our consolidated DNA of Service Above Self: Evidence of the vast potential results behind our Third Object of Rotary: The application of the ideal of service for every Rotarian to his/her personal, business, and community life.
The combined advocacy, generosity and stewardship inspired by Rotary Fire Relief ~ which had origin following the Valley Fire in Lake County in 2015, have developed and evolved into a regional model of community engagement, international cooperation and goodwill and immense personal recovery and hope.
These fortunate eleven represent thousands who participated in thousands of ways to reach out and serve overwhelming responses to overwhelming needs. The $50,000 grant presented to Bouverie's parent organization, Audobon Canyon Ranch ACR will allow them to rebuild trails destroyed, restoring safe access for their acclaimed Outdoor Education Program, inspiring stewardship in countless Sonoma County youth for decades.
ACR's Executive Director John Petersen's letter of thanks follows, echoing the depth and width of gratitude and impact you all have made possible.
