Upcoming Dental Trip!

On the evening of January 24, 2020 we will have 13 Santa Rosa Sunrise Rotarians and family members starting their journey to Nicaragua for our bi-annual eye and dental mission work. Our home base will be at the Sabalos Lodge www.sabaloslodge.com with our likely work destination in the village of Buena Vista. The government has not done much road work in the remote villages the last 18 months, so we are expecting a rough go of it (lots of mud).
We will be working three full days in the field examining eyes for cataracts and ptergiums and dispensing new prescription eye glasses along with needed dental provided by Nicaraguan dentists. The group of intrepid travelers include: Ezbon Jen, Marty Behr, Ajae Behr, Michael Riel, Rebecca Johnson, Grace Johnson, Millie Johnson, Paul O’Rear and Penny Millar, Jennifer Hembd, Jennifer Adams, Steve Zwick and John Jones. We are hoping to see as many as 300 people per day with eye care and 30-40 per day for the dental team.
