Sunrise Rays

What better way to start a meeting than with a visiting Rotarian Club President!

Club Administrator Brian Rondon introduces Bill. In additioin to his hiking skill, Bill will also ride in the District Polio ride with Sunriser Peter Hoberg from Crescent City to Petaluma: Get your pledges in!!

Bill Stauber is President of Sebastopol Sunrise Rotary and an avid hiker and biker as well.

Bill inspired, impressed and informed us of his trek with his son in 2014 along the Appalachian Trail. 2,189 miles and 6 months later, Bill and son joined an elite club of adventurers completing the arduous hills and valleys between Georgia and Maine.

Distinguishing between dream and reality, the AT is nothing like a gentle walk in the woods. Often covered by snow, difficult to navigate rock formations, a climate at times registering 9F, the Trail is more a trial of perseverance and preparation. Fortunately Bill is fit and had friends in Asheville, North Carolina who hosted Bill during a two week leg injury set back.
Long running Red Badger Jennifer Adams breaks through!

She captures Blue!! After fulfilling all the requirements and becoming one of the Club's youngest Board Members, Community Service Director, Jennifer demonstrates her enthusiastic reception into rank of Blue Badge status.

Mike Kelley pitches the Club's upcoming Day at the Races. His horse racing contacts with the Sonoma County Fair will provide a featured race sponsored by the Club with the winner receiving his award from Mike himself.

Membership Director Paul O Rear provides an update of activities.
