Meeting Announcements

A project that Leroy Carlenzoli has undertaken to build shelves at the new SAY (Social Advocates for Youth) Dream Center, was announced by Steve Worthen. The shelves are eight inches deep and are stacked 12 shelves high on all sides of a therapy room with a sand table in the middle. Hundreds of figurines of various figures, animals and objects line the shelves. By selecting figures and placing them in juxtaposition with each other in the sand table, youth are able to participate in a therapy exercise that could shed light on what is troubling them.
President Eloise announced that Susan Glowacki is now an Honorary Member due to family issues.

Past President Dan Davis returned from a Holiday trip to welcome two new grandchildren born in December: Clark Daniel Davis born in Lexington Park, Maryland and Amelia Margaret Snedecor born in Tel Aviv, Israel. The proud grandfather brought President Eloise a plaque with the word “Shalome,” which can be used at meeting or parting and means peace.

President Elect Merle Hayes conducted a brainstorming session at individual tables to recruit members for our 30th Anniversary Planning Committee and solicit ideas for the party, which will be held in June.
Club Assembly covered the following items:
* 30th anniversary Sunday June 12. Each table provided a list of suggestions for the event
