Sunrisers and Shovels Transform
Who else could brave 40F frosty mornings in short pants but Paul O Rear! One of nearly 20 stalwarts who showed up and dug, weeded and shoveled ground cover at Lewis School last Saturday morning.
A wonderful intergenerational activity, here Mary Banks meets Blanca, an Elsie Allen High School Interactor and spotter of a slender salamander gently relocated away from human feet.
Paul and Mary prepare a now plants place, at the base of the Peace Pole extolling "Let Peace Prevail on Earth."
Peter Banks and Jim Moir lead the southern border, clearing weeds and prepping for 30 new shrubs and flowers.

Curtis created CHArt ~ Community Horticulture Art and collaborated with Santa Rosa Schools to design and install a garden at Ridgway School. That's another story! Thank You Curtis and Pat!!
