Daybreak Rotary Welcome!!
Last Thursday an hour before Santa Rosa Sunrise bell rang the Daybreak Rotary of Kalisdpell Montana welcome this Rotarian, reminding everyome of our Four-Way Test #2 and 5: Will it Build Better Friendships and Will it be Fun!!

Kalispell is the gateway to Glacier Natiional Park. Adjacent to Canada's Waterton Lake National Park, the proximity inspired both countries respective Rotary Clubs to initiate in 1932 what has become Glacier-Waterton International Peace Park.
Centered on the mutual interests of wildlife and forestatiion stewardship, leaders drafted collaborative means to protect and presserve above and below their natiional borders. This work continues today. Daybreak Rotary with other partners are sponsoring "Hands Across the Border" symposium to further the objectives of the Peace Park.

The weekly Daybreak meeting went on to include hi-5 shares including a members son selected to University of Montana, Missoula's football team. Featured speaker Jay Hagen, City Fire Chief gave a great overview of his department administration and fire science.
TRT or Total Rersponse Time is a constantly monitored metric of efficiency. Next time you speak with a public safety representative ask and expect to be surprised. Some basics of fire science, a bit alarming in regard to the critical element of time in reaching a fire while life is sustainable.
By the time Santa Rosa Sunrise was startting, Daybreak and this Rotarian had exchanged their club banner for some wine country chocolate and new friends made, remknding us Rotary unites for good and has lasting impact! Always seek to visit other clubs even with no attendance requirement. IT WILL BE BENEFICIAL TO ALL CONCERNED AND FUN!!
