Job Fair Connects People with Resources
Over 200 job seekers took the opportunity to connect with employers and various supportive service agencies last Thursday at Petaluma Community Center. Some of our Sunrise Rotarian members were there to help!
County Supervisor David Rabbitt and Petaluma May Theresa Barrett addressed the participants.
Sunrise Rotarians provided support in the food service, organizing, interview and resume building activities. Steve Herron, a veteran advocate of Job Link pitched in the beverage service along with Peter and Mary Banks while Stacy Drucker-Andress, Penny Millar and Paul O Rear prepped meals. Rich Randolph was posted in the resume room.
From 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM the wheels of local networking rotated, moving people closer to employment and stable housing. Counseling and harm reduction non profit groups offered information including fentanyl education and Naxalone overdose kits.
