The group explored the burn recovering area in Sugarloaf Mountain State Park. Jim recognized the attractive zigadene lily, aka Toxicoscordion fremontii, dotting the hillsides emergence of spring.
Not all vegetation is recovering as quickly.
Larger plants' roots may have survived, but the exposed mass less so.
