Your journey starts with a flight from SFO to Lisbon Portugal. A 5-star hotel awaits you. Not far from the ocean. Enjoy the incredible food and wine (port too). Two nights in Lisbon.
Off to Porto then stop at Sintra on the way and visit the Moor castle and learn about the Moors invasion and impact on the Iberian Peninsula. Now on to Porto and the beautiful Douro River valley. Fly from Porto to Seville. See old Colonial Spain at its finest. Home of Christopher Columbus. See a Flamenco dance at one of the many Flamenco colleges. Take a horse drawn carriage tour of Seville and learn about the history of this unique city. Tour the local museum that is home to Christopher Columbus’ final resting place. Two nights in Seville.
Travel by private car/driver to Ronda and then to Granada. You will stop for lunch in Ronda and enjoy the spectacular views over the magnificent canyon. Then continue your drive to Granada.

Granada is home to the Alhambra. We will arrange a private guide the day after our arrival to tour this exquisite castle bursting with history. This is the last holdout of the Moor’s in the Iberian Peninsula. It is the location that Christopher Columbus secured his funding for the exploration to the New World. Two nights in Granada then on to Barcelona by train. Four-hour journey.
Barcelona is your final stop on this Iberian adventure. We are planning three nights here to give you ample time to see the many Gaudi sites including the Sagrada Familia, and take in the wonderful shopping, restaurants and beaches. Then back to SFO. Your flights will be economy and on United or a Star Alliance airline. The Iberian Peninsula is best seen June through September, and you must travel by the end of 2023. You will need to work with John Jones to make all arrangements.
