District Conference 4 Way Fest in Reno !!!!

Your Club was one of the fortunate who made 3 reservations in the House of Fellowship, exhibiting and promoting the varied extent of service opportunities expressed throughout Districts 5130, 5150, 5160 & 5190.

 

Elizabeth, NEW GEN Rep promotes our District's creative youth achievements.  On the screen is Trinity Laney of Elsie Allen Interact describing her group's award winning project.,

 

 

Yours truly experiences the fascination and imagineering of Virtual Reality. This technology is cutting new borders in recruiting and retention.

Sunrisers Rich, Del, Marty, Paul and Penny braved the late Spring Sierra storm to attend a first ever four District Conference in Reno May 17-19.Our District 5130, and adjacent Districts 5150, 5160 asnde the largest in Zone 25-26, 5190, Reno's District.

 

In an creative memorial tribute to members in Memoriam from each District, here our passed members Ross Andres and Mike Kelly were honored.

 

The conference featured World Class speakers:  Dave Dravecky, Lisa Kristine, State Senator Mike McGuire, Innovators Jim Marggraff and Jon Kaufman, and Rotary Foundation Trustee Brenda Cressey.  

Relationships, Inspiration, Courage, even shock were brought to our attention.  Just ask those who attended.

Preparing for duty in the Rise Against Hunger mobilization, Healdsburg Rotary President  and past Sunriser Rich Bottarini dons his red hair net to protect his contributing efforts in preparing 10,000 meals for distribution to reduce hunger. Marty and Rich also labored.

 

Marty Behr, Sunrise President Elect shares stage with District Governor Barbara Spangler, offering International Convention tickets for the benefit of the Rotary Foundation:  Marty raised  over $200!!

 

And for icing on the cake, President Rich received the District honor of Rotarian of the Year, presented by District Governor Barbara Spangler and Rotary Foundation Chair Brenda Cressey.
