Eclipse - Phenomenal, Traffic - Bad

Sunriser Jim Moir drove eight hours to Madras, Oregon on the Sunday before the recent solar eclipse for optimum totality viewing. Sleeping on a soccer field, he woke the next morning to view the celestial phenomena along with scientists from NASA and many others, who were also at the site.
Jim reports that people arrived at different times before the event, however everyone took off immediately after, creating a horrendous traffic jam. His vehicle traveled a total of four miles in two hours. And he ended up arriving home at 3:30 a.m. the next day.
