Sunrise Sabalos Vision Showcased

Sunrise Program Director Paul O Rear takes note of the screen subject:  Santa Rosa Sunrise Rotary' Sabalos Nicaragua Surgical Center building taking shape.  In a surprise narrative by District Governor Elect Bob Rogers, our Sunrise Rotary's six year ramp up from vision to reality for the now nearly constructed surgical center provided the concrete example of the power of brainstorming and persistence.

The Governor Elect illustrated his upcoming theme:  Let Your Dreams Take Flight with our example of inspiration combined with perspiration.

A keen eye will see the Sabalos Surgicenter taking shape.  Peter Hoberg and John Jones in 2014 assessing the site of the proposed building.

Attendees had choices of leadership, membership, communication, youth and foundation sessions to attend.  The annual District Training Assembly provides refresher courses on top priority subjects and a chance to meet new incoming president elects and nominees to meet with their colleagues and District Governors.

A more recent visioning result of Sunrise Rotary is our Peacewall.  Inspired by New Generations and Rotary International's Peace and Conflict Resolution focus area, Mike Kelley (right) oversees assembly of he club display.  To date, our "Wall" has made stops for peace promotion activities"what does peace look like to you" at Women's Recovery Services, SCARC (Sonoma County Area Rotary Clubs), the Living Room and most recently this District Training.  What is your vision of peace?

Thanks to Mike for the idea, Leroy Carlenzoli for constructing the wall and Paul O Rear Peter Hoberg, Doug Shureen and Rich Randolph for assembly, dis-assembly and transport.

Thanks to ALL Sunriser's  for their inspiration and perspiration!!
