A 2015 survey indicates that most people think of Rotary as an exclusive organization for businessmen where they take money from you at every meeting, all of which you are required to attend. The new image being promoted emphasizes engagement rather than attendance and depicts Rotary as a format for Meeting Leaders, Sharing Ideas and Taking Action.

2. SIX AREAS OF FOCUS
Display and emphasize the Six Areas of Focus prominently at every Rotary meeting and event to indicate what Rotary is pledged to accomplish: Promoting Peace, Providing Clean Water, Helping Mothers and Children, Supporting Education, Fighting Disease and Developing Local Economies.

3. FINISH THE JOB
For the next three years, Rotarians must commit funding and volunteers to totally eradicate polio from every country on earth, including Afghanistan and Pakistan.

4. TELLL YOUR ROTARY STORY
Rotary recruitment remains stagnant while other similar organizations are growing. The best method for recruiting new members is to tell your Rotary story -- how you came to be a Rotarian, why you continue your membership, and how being a Rotarian works for you in your life.
