The Lime Foundation

Letitia (la-TISH-a) Hanke is a Black female entrepreneur, community leader, and nonprofit founder with 30 years in the roofing industry. A small-town girl from Lake County, California, Letitia originally dreamed of a career in music and studied Music and Performing Arts at Sonoma State University. When an opportunity opened in the roofing industry, she stepped in, managed a prominenet roofing company for eight years, and in 2004 founded ARS Roofing & Gutters.

Today, ARS Roofing & Gutters is a trusted North Bay company serving Sonoma, Napa, and Marin counties and employing 24 full-time, year-round team members. Driven by a passion to create opportunities for others, Letitia founded The LIME Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, in 2015. Through programs such as the NextGen Trades Academy, NextGen Auto Academy, Turner Arts Initiative, and senior wellness activities, the foundation empowers underserved youth and seniors through workforce development, music and arts, health and wellness, and life-skills education. Letitia is widely recognized for combining business success with community impact and for being a strong advocate for women in the trades.
