Sustainability Coordinator for the City of Santa Rosa

For the past three years the Russian River watershed has experienced less than average rainfall, including two of the driest years in over 100 years of record keeping. To combat the drought, the City of Santa Rosa implemented drought restrictions and adopted a 20% communitywide water-savings target in June of 2021. Hear an update about the current drought conditions and how you can do your part to be water efficient in your home and business.

Claire Nordlie is the Water Use Efficiency Coordinator for the City of Santa Rosa, managing eight water conservation team members who assist customers with indoor and outdoor water use efficiency projects. She graduated from Sonoma State with a Bachelors in Environmental Studies and has a Masters of Science from the University of Denver in Environmental Policy and Management. Claire is a Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper, Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor, and a Certified Climate Change Professional.
