August 8 - A's Game

Nothing could be more American than Baseball………..so SRKSEP 2012 traveled to the Oakland Coliseum for a great game of America’s favorite pastime, with the Oakland A’s hosting the Los Angeles Angles. Steve Amend, Olin Leasher, Dave Lorenzen and Jim Gray escorted the group, which was also joined by 2009 SRKSEP member Misha Heyden.

Once at the park on a great sunny afternoon all in the group were presented with a great bag of goodies, including Oakland A’s hats and other memorabilia, courtesy of the Oakland A’s Organization.

And a day at the park isn’t complete unless it includes peanuts, hot dogs, chili dogs, nachos and cotton candy!

As it turns out, there were several baseball fans in the SRKSEP group, and both teams provided a great game to watch, 8 Home Runs, and a great double base steal by Oakland. An in the end, the home team of Oakland beat LA, 9 to 8.

All in all, a great day at the ballpark!
