September – Walk – Spring Lake

Our next Rotary walk is Saturday, September 27, 9:00 am - 11:00 am. PLEASE NOTE NEW LOCATION! Spring Lake (not Bartholomew Park).

For our Spring Lake walk, we will meet at the North Entrance lower level parking lot, 393 Violetti Rd.

Why the Change in Venue?

The main trails adjacent to Bartholomew Park and the winery are steeper than I was led to believe, with rocky uneven footing, and very little shade. I did not realize this until I scouted it. And the flat walk around the park and winery grounds takes only about 40 minutes. So, Dan and I decided on Spring Lake; after all, it's like that favorite pair of jeans or sweater you wear over and over. Please join us and enjoy fresh air and conversation.

It's Spring Lake with a 'Twist'!

In case you need more incentive, anyone who brings a prospective member with them will get a coffee card. And there will be some trivia questions I will pose along the walk. Whoever answers the question correctly will also get a coffee card or other prize.

Highlights

Spring Lake Loop Trail is a 2.3-mile paved loop around the lake with views of forested hillsides. The multi-use trail accommodates walkers, runners and cyclists and is partially ADA accessible. The trail elevation is mostly flat, with a brief incline to the main dam.

Rating

This is an easy scenic walk on established trails around Spring Lake.
