Rotary Walk -- Roseland Neighborhood

An easy and enjoyable urban walk on sidewalks and paved streets in the colorful Roseland neighborhood of Santa Rosa.  Plus optional lunch following the walk at Roseland's La Texanita Restaurant. Please join us! 

 

Highlights:  Join Santa Rosa City Councilman Eddie Alvarez, Sonoma County Library Roseland Branch Manager Rosalie Abbott and other Roseland and Sonoma Library representatives on a Roseland neighborhood walk.  Learn about Roseland history, view artistic murals that dot the neighborhood, learn more about the Joe Rodota Trail and housing issues, and become informed about development projects, including the new Roseland branch library. We are also planning to have a representative from our Elsie Allen Interact Club to fill us in on the Interact Club's work.  

 

Date, Time & Directions:  Saturday, February 22 -- 10a-Noon.  Meet at Roseland Regional Library, 470 Sebastopol Road, Santa Rosa.  Library is second building west of corner of Dutton & Sebastopol Road on the south side of Sebastopol Road, next to Exchange Bank.  Park in the lot behind the library, as distant from the entry door as possible, as we will be parked there for two hours.  

 

Rating:  EASY.  About three miles of flat walking on sidewalks and paved streets.

 

Dog-Friendly:  Walk -- Yes.  Lunch -- Outside only, weather dependent.

 

Bring:  Water, sun protection, light jacket (if cool morning or in case of light rain).

 

Spouses, partners, friends, and other guests welcome.  This is an excellent opportunity to connect with with Rotary friends and a good introduction to our Club.
