We recently received an update of the situation in their community.Our friends in Ukraine are facing a very tough winter with heating and power disruptions on a regular basis. They are tired and struggling to meet all the requests for aid that are coming in to the club. But they continue to work hard and help as they can.
Through the generosity of our community the Rotary Club of Alliston has already provided over $30,000 in humanitarian aid to the Rotary Club Rivne.
During this season of giving, we are making another appeal to our community to help bring light, warmth and hope to Rivne and other communities in Ukraine by providing funds to purchase medicine, generators and other supplies to assist the Ukrainian people this winter.
Here is how to donate cash or cheques:
- We accept cash or a cheque donations. Make cheques out to the Rotary Club of Alliston. Please mark as Humanitarian Aid for Ukraine.
- Drop the cheque/cash off at the Grant Thornton Office (formerly KD Wray office - 22 Paris Street, PO Box 519 Alliston ON Canada) in an envelope marked: Rotary Club of Alliston Attn: Bill Wray.
- The club will provide a charitable receipt for all donation over $25 when the regular club charitable tax receipts are issued later in the year. Please provide your name and address to receive a charitable donation receipt.

The deadline for donations is January 4, 2023.
