Cael Cohen
Building Community Through Ghost Stories

Cael Cohen is an award-winning university professor, eLearning expert, philosopher, educational researcher, passionate oral storyteller, writer, painter, and bird watcher.  She shows her commitment to the local community as an Executive Member of the Tottenham Lion’s Club, an Executive Member of the Tottenham Ladies Auxiliary, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 329 Tottenham; a Member of the New Tecumseth and West Gwillimbury Historical Society, and Team Lead for the Heritage Tour at the Tottenham Community Week. Cael teaches critical thinking, conceptual analysis, argument, and argumentation, in the Department of Philosophy, and business ethics at the Schulich School of Business, York University. Her specialty is helping undergraduate students and life-long learners transform their lives by becoming better critical thinkers and more confident, thoughtful, and reflective reasoners and ethical decision makers. Cohen's current research interests include, deep disagreement, and promoting deep learning and student engagement in online learning environments. She has recently taken up learning the piano and is writing a young adult about a girl who gets stuck in the Internet.
