  • MEMBERSHIP - Appoint a Membership Chairman.  Develop a recruitment and retention plan.  Establish a realistic club membership goal.  Continue diversity of membership.  (Currently have nine women plus two completing membership applications.)  Complete classification survey for Tempe area.
  • NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION -  Red Badge of Courage issued to new member during which time he/she completes the following:  Every club member signs his Rotary Book, works the Attendance Table for one month, participates in one Club Service Project, attends another Rotary Club meeting, attends a Club Board Meeting, attends the Tempe South "Rotary College of Knowledge", pays induction fee and first quarter dues.  Encourage sponsor to work closely with new member.
  • CLUB PROGRAMS -  Speaker Schedule established for each member who is encouraged to schedule subjects of interest to the club.  Several Club Programs each year are devoted to Interact and Rotaract.
  • FELLOWSHIP ACTIVITIES -  continue to recognize birthdays, anniversaries, new children and grandchildren, member's special events and accomplishments, a day for family, etc.  Also include from the podium request for happy announcements, snitches, etc.
  • CLUB ASSEMBLY -  will be held quarterly
  • ATTENDANCE  - Stress the importance of weekly attendance, if not at our Club a makeup at another Rotary Club.  Continue sending bulletins to absent members.  Phone absent members to show Clubs concern.  Award perfect attendance pins each year.  Encourage the use of the Rotary Eclub Southwest for make-ups.
  • ROTARY INFORMATION -  Bulletins will be published for each meeting.  The  Boards activities and decisions will be published each month in the Club Bulletin.  The Clubs web page will be updated on a regular basis.  Rotary's International activities will be displayed on Clubs Bulletin.  Governor's monthly newsletter will be distributed to club members electronically.
  • CLUB BOARD OF DIRECTORS -  will meet monthly, review and rule on all items which come before the Board, establish and approve the Club Budget, review and approve the monthly financial report, and evaluate the clubs programs.  The Club will stay within the Club Operating Budget and disburse funds for charitable purposes in accordance with the approved funds from the Club Foundation.
  • MISCELLANOUS -  Social events throughout the year including the annual Club Christmas Party, annual ARC Christmas Party, Charter Night which includes the "Howard Pyle Award", Changing of the Guard.  Club is also involved in Rotary River Rally, Light up the Luminaries at Tempe Town Lake, etc.
