A message from Pete and Sue Strebe.
Dear Tempe South Rotary Club,
Pete and I would like to thank you for a wonderful evening at your Charter Night. From being picked up in a limo with Tanya, Jim and their daughter to the warm hugs and hand shakes we received all night, it is an memory we will treasure. What an honor to be presented with the Howard Pyle Award and be in the company of such worthy past recipients. It is an acknowledgment that you never expect but when bestowed on you leaves a feeling of fulfillment.
It is always a pleasure to be among your members who are so friendly and make you feel a part of your family. Please thank them for us. The highlight of the night for me was hearing everyone laugh at the RRR video. That is a project very close to my heart and Carolyn, Chris, Joe, Jay, Johnny and many members from your club have been doing a fantastic job in keeping the dream alive. For Pete, the night was a major turning point in his recovery. It is the first time in 3 years that he has been able to attend an event with a group of people. For him to be able to stand up and give a thank you speech was incredible. He had nothing prepared just spoke from the heart. But you have no idea what a big step that was for him. We both thank you for that opportunity.
In celebration of receiving this award, Pete and I would like to offer your club an opportunity to make some money off us. We are donating a 2 night stay in a private cabin that will sleep 6 at Pinetop Vista Cabins, including tax and cleaning fee with a value of $384.65. You can auction it off or use it in whatever way you feel is best. Please provide me with an address to send the gift certificate.
We appreciate you.
Sincerely,
Pete and Sue Strebe
