Sun Sounds delivers printed material over the airwaves every day. Each day, volunteers read newpapers, magazines, and store advertisements for the visually impaired. These readings are transmitted 17 hours each day over a speical radio frequency that can be picked up by the radio provided free of charge to the visually impaired by Sun Sounds.
The regular program schedule provided by Sun Sounds allows their clients to tune in for just the information they need or record it for later listening. Often listeners will take the advertisement recording to the grocery store to do their shopping.
If you wish to help with reading or make a contribution, you may contact Sun Sounds at sunsounds.org or 1-866-967-8300. Sun Sounds is also looking for volunteers to help with their Beerfest at Tempe Town Lake on March 7-8.
