I served in the U.S. Air Force, Air Force Reserves and Air National Guard for 14 years. I served 26 years in the Coast Guard Reserves for 26 years. At present I serve as a columnist for ArizonaRepublic covering veterans news in the greater Phoenix, AZ area. My volunteer work is with veterans as a Veterans Benefits Counselor at a VA clinic. I serve on the Arizona Attorney Generals Veterans Commission and work with homeless veterans. I raise funds by conducting trips to Mexico with the profits going to veterans charities. In Oct 2008 I was inducted into the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame for my charity work.
