Sep 3-5, 2019 - Health and sanitation education and training


Health and sanitation training conducted by Dig Deep, a not-for-profit organization who will monitor the school and assist with ongoing training and education for the next five years. Dig Deep provides training to students, teachers and community members and leaders.


Aug 9, 2019 - Commissioning

Our immediate RCVY Past President Neil Mort, RC Hurlingham President Frank Masinde, and AWB founder Chip Morgan in Kenya to commission the newly built rainwater harvesting system and toilets. What a warm reception by the school and community members!


Jul 15, 2019 - Final completion

The completed the girls and boys new toilets and 300,000 litre rainwater harvesting system at Nakurto Lukuny in Suswa are ready for commissioning. A formal handover will be held in August.

Jun 7, 2019 - Construction complete: 300,000 litre tank and harvesting roofing system

The completed tank and 300 square metres of harvesting roofing at Nakurto Lukuny School in Suswa. This will be in full operation for the next rain season to benefit students of the school. Making progress with the new toilets at Nakurto Lukuny School in Suswa. These will complement the new rainwater harvesting system constructed there.

Apr 5, 2019 - 300,000 litre tank complete: Nakurto Lukuny School, Suswa

The completed 300,000 litre tank at Nakurto Lukuny by our partners at African Water Bank. Next week is the construction of the harvesting and tank roofs and the latrines.

Mar 20, 2019 - Construction continues: Nakurto Lukuny School, Suswa

Setting the formwork for the construction of the top cross and ring beams of the 300,000 litre tank AWB is building at Nakurto Lukuny School on behalf of the Hurlingham, Nairobi and Yaletown, Vancouver Rotary Clubs.

Mar 11, 2019 - Construction continues: Nakurto Lukuny School, Suswa

The 300,000 litre masonry tank - which is part of the rainwater harvesting system AWB is constructing at Nakurto Lukuny School in Suswa on behalf of the Hurlingham Nairobi and Yaletown Vancouver Rotary Clubs - starts to rise from the ground. The tank will be completed in two weeks time.
