The Adopt a Village in Laos project is a non-profit charity involving fellow Rotarians from a number of Canadian Clubs. The project provides gravity-fed water purification filters which remove water-borne bacteria and turbidity to families in very poor and remote regions of Laos. The filters are durable and economical to maintain. Families receive hygiene courses and are trained regarding proper maintenance of the filters. The water filters are delivered personally by a dedicated group of Rotarians and others involved with the project. Each filter has a label with a Canadian flag and the name of the donor. Our Club has funded a number of these filters.
