Thank you Sarah Dunham from the Roots of Empathy program (www.rootsofempathy.org) for your presentation! Since coming to Vancouver in 2000, the program instills pro social skills and kindness in school children, generally to Grades 3 & 4. A trained instructor will conduct the program once a week during the school year, visiting every third week with an infant, aka "The Teacher" and a parent. Research studies indicate children who do Roots of Empathy reduce aggressive behavior, bullying and physical abuse, and build healthy relationships through kindness and caring.
