FAIRNESS is an integral part of our Rotary Four-Way Test, so how fair is our current voting system?
Our speaker, Iain Macanulty, backed up by Jeffrey Nienwenburg are volunteers from Fair Vote Canada (BC) (www.fairvote.ca) and want everyone to participate in the upcoming referendum regarding BC’s electoral system, which must be held before Nov. 30, 2018, to change the current (unfair) system of “First Past the Post” to “Proportional Representation”. There are many misrepresentations published about “First Past the Post” but 85% of OECD countries have adopted Proportional Representation to great success. You may find the presentation slides here.
