Thanks again to Louise, ED of NatureKids BC, a non-profit that started in 2000 and now has 30 family clubs in BC (some in schools). They serve about 1,500 kids (5 to 12 years) per year through 5,000 nature adventures (2016), with 100 volunteers and 3 part time staff. The group provides nature programs for families to explore, play and learn about nature. They publish NatureWild Magazine and also do ‘citizen science events’ (data collection, etc.). Membership $25/year. They try to connect their topics to the elementary school curriculum to assist teachers. Help out by becoming a member, volunteering, providing funds, or as a board member.
