First FDU/Rotary Scholarship awarded

Congratulations to Ramon Gahob, the recipient of the first FDU/Rotary Yaletown scholarship.  Ramon, a graduate student at FDU (Masters Administrative Science, global health and human services), recently arrived from the Philippines.  He has been very busy with his studies and an impressive list of community service events, as well as Toastmasters.  At home, he worked with his local Lions Club on a Sight for Kids Project.  Ramon said that giving sight is an important thing since it provides an opportunity for everyone to see what a beautiful world it is.  Imspiring!!  Thanks to Club committee members Neil, Jane LePorte and Bette Daoust.  Good choice!  Our next scholarship will be awarded in January 2017.
