Our guest speaker Pomponia Martinez talked about technology and artificial intelligence as the 4th industrial revolution after steam, electricity, and internet which all led to disruption of jobs and skills. Looking forward we will see more automation, a more mobile workforce, and more sourcing out of labour geographically dispersed. The future workforce will need to be more flexible, adaptable, and continually developing their skills with critical thinking and problem solving skills becoming more valuable.
