The North Haven Rotary Club will host its annual Pancake Breakfast and 5K & Fun Run on Nov 12 at the North Haven middle and high schools (which are next door to one another). All proceeds benefit area causes and charities.
Tickets for both events are purchased separately.
Tickets for the 2017 Pancake Breakfast are $5, purchasable at the door.
The annual pancake breakfast is back at the North Haven Middle School. For $5 it's an all-you-can-eat breakfast. The event honors local veterans and includes live music, a book sale, and raffle prizes.
The 6th Annual Tessa Marie 5K & Fun Run starts at the North Haven High School, and benefits children's charities and local families with sick children, along with other area charities. In 2017 we will help Lea Doran and her family (pictured below): Recently, members of our community, the founders and owners of Tuff Girl Fitness/FMA Performance, Christa and Mike Doran, have had to face the unimaginable. Their 6-year-old daughter Lea was diagnosed with a rare, high-grade gleoma called DIPG. This form of brain tumor is highly aggressive and difficult to treat — currently there is no known cure.
We are coming together to raise funds to assist the brave and strong Lea with her fight. If you would like to follow Lea's journey, please take a look at her mother's blog.
Interested in joining the North Haven Rotary Club? Here are 4 reasons why you should:

1) Give Back to the Community

The North Haven Rotary is active throughout the greater New Haven area in numerous charitable causes. We host community dinners and assist local vets. We organize the annual North Haven High School Project Graduation, giving seniors a fun, safe option for graduation celebrations. And we donate our time and money to a litany of causes, including the North Haven Education Foundation, NHTV, Special Olympics CT, Fix & Feed North Haven, Camp Rising Sun, Vets 4 Vets, the Community Soup Kitchen, the Ronald McDonald House, the North Haven Garden Club, and the NHHS girls rugby team. At our most recent community recognition luncheon we handed out about $40,000 in grants to local groups and organizations.

2) Meet Local Business Professionals

Our club is comprised of a diverse variety of business professionals from the area. Among our members are lawyers, CPAs, business owners, mortgage brokers, print professionals, actors, photographers, landlords, car salesmen, insurance professionals, financial advisors, jewelers, nonprofit employees, bankers, pharmaceutical professionals, florists, professors, comptrollers, and someone who writes about alcohol for a living. In terms of age, our club ranges from Millennials to members with a bit of grey up top. The North Haven Rotary allows you to expand your professional network while also giving back to the community in a meaningful way.

3) Get Involved Locally

Rotary is about more than just the time and money we donate to the local communities. Anyone can write a check for a charity — we get involved and stay involved. Take pleasure in knowing that you are part of the positive force in your community, helping those in need, reliably so, year after year.

4) Have Fun!

For all that we give back to the community, we also take time to enjoy each other’s company. North Haven Rotarians are a very social bunch, enjoying fellowship events and nights out at local establishments. Do you like wine, bourbon, banter, fun, or fine dining? You’ll fit right in.
We are a nonpolitical group that counts members on both aisle. Rotary is not about politics. Rotary is about community service and enjoying good times.
