For more than 38 years, Hanley has specialized in Municipal Law, Utility Law and Finance, Corporate Law, Municipal Land Use Law, Open Space Acquisitions, Economic Development Law, Redevelopment Law and Environmental Law.

He has been General Municipal Attorney and Special Counsel to municipalities and independent authorities throughout the State of New Jersey, as well as the States of New York, Utah, Arizona and West Virginia and the federal government.

Hanley has also has represented and continues to represent public and private entities in their organization, financing and operations throughout the State of New Jersey and many other jurisdictions. He also represents numerous Developers and Redevelopers (large and small) throughout New Jersey. He is a frequent lecturer in New Jersey and throughout the country.

Hanley is a U.S. Army, Vietnam Veteran and was Awarded The Bronze Star for Meritorious Service, Republic of Vietnam.

An Advocate for Veterans, he is the Chairman of Welcome Home Vets of New Jersey, serves on the Veterans Advisory Board for Community Hope, New Jersey and has worked pro bono for many Veterans cases. His vast network and the many volunteers of Welcome Home Vets of New Jersey, provide additional opportunities to expand the passionate work he provides for Veterans.
