"Halo"
"Halo"
November 24th
"Halo" what a wonderful performance by Jennifer Pride as Casey. A strong voice and facial expressions to match the moment. It was indeed a play of emotions, some happy some sad. At the end I swear there were not a dry eye in the house, our own Allan Thain responsible with his fine portrayal of "Donald" a father torn with choices he rather not make.
The evening was set as you walked into the theater, tasteful decor, and a few early bird friends there to greet you. Brian Lott bought a round of drinks for those in the room, again proving his generosity, sadly there was no time to reciprocate the offer, I thank you Brian for the drink, good health my friend.
After the show and exiting from the theater we were faced with a fabulous finger food buffet. No one was more surprised than Elizabeth who had organized the food side of the evening. Jimy Mac's Pub had went all out with a donation to the Rotary event.
Gary Tayler of Glenugie Winery was the Vintner of the evening, suppling fine wine to complement the occasion.
For me it was a great evening, a change from the movies and television. Thank you Elizabeth, Gary and Allan for the experience.
