Adventures in Citizenship

Today we met four young ladies who were vying for the position of a trip to Ottawa under the Adventure in Citizenship banner. Sometimes the mediator gives lip service to how close the competitors were and how hard it was to choose a winner. Well this time it was no lip service it was hard. What impressed me was how confident the girls were speaking in front of a strange crowd, it can be hard enough to public speak at the best of times even when you know the crowd. Our world is in safe hands when you see the quality of youth entering the workforce with such great ideas and determination. Good luck to each of you for the future, I'm sure it's going to be bright.
