The Rotary Club of Langley Central was a Sponsor this year of the student entrepreneur I.D.E.A. Summit that was held at Langley Events Centre’s Fieldhouse building on Tuesday, May 7. Young entrepreneurs from across the District wowed their fellow students, parents, staff and community members with their creativity and innovative ideas. Beginning in the morning, elementary and middle school students set up booths where they marketed and sold their creations – which this year, came with a twist: all products had to include at least one recycled or upcycled item.
Our own Alexandre Fernandes (Service Director for our Club), attended as a community mentor and judge of the presentations. He is pictured above with Alicia Rempel, Executive Director of the Langley School District Foundation that organized the event.
