Isabella Gamba

Every year we host a competition among the local schools to ask students to express why they are proud to be Canadian, the winner of which will be given the opportunity to visit the Legislature in Ottawa. It was suggested that the students who did not make the final pick would be given the opportunity to visit the Legislative Assembly in Victoria. One such student was Isabella Gamba. Her resume is quite extensive. She has attained the highest rank in air cadets (warrant officer,) and was accepted as one of 24 students to attend a special 1st year university program sponsored by Camosen College, and will be living at camp Qwanoes near Duncan on Vancouver Island. The program will require her to travel to Brazil or Mexico to work with disadvantaged people. Isabella came to our club to talk about her visit to the house of politics and her lunch with Mary Polak. She was accompanied to Victoria with Terry Smith and Adolf Dalke.
