Great talk today from Dr. Robert Kissner about the Focus Foundation which was formed as a non-profit organization to provide innovative social and educational programs for children ages 13-19 who struggle with school and personal circumstances.  In contrast to approaches that focus on deficits and problems, they seek to build a tailored program based on each child’s strengths to inspire hope and promote engagement in their capacity for positive growth. What he didn't know was at the end of his talk that we would present him with a $20,000 check. Great organization doing great work.
