The Club welcomed back Bob Groeneveld to our group as he gave an entertaining talk at our April 5th meeting. Bob recounted his inspirational family story including their immigration from the Netherlands in 1953 and his birth soon thereafter (may be a legal question there?). His life included working in the pulp mill, construction, and a stint with the BC Department of Agriculture before finding his passion as a writer in his 40 year career with the Langley Advance. Bob is now retired and enjoying his new passions of gardening and music. He finished by answering many questions from members about the current state of media and the news. Glad to have you back Bob and in good health.
