Happy/Grumpy Dollars
- Barbara opened with $10 for two reasons. First, her surgery and recovery is going very well. Second, they will be going to Las Vegas to see a show by her favorite artist.
- Curt pledged $10 for the turnout at the Scouting breakfast where he delivered our check.
- Chris pledged $10, first %5 for Barb being here and doing well and $5 for his starting as Secretary given the Dacus’ membership change. Thanks to Curt for helping him navigate the software and duties.
- Chuck pledged $25 in recognition of his granddaughter achieving Eagle status in Scouting. She is an avid hiker having done several major trails. He plan for the summer hikes were upended by a rugby ankle injury.

Program
This week’s presenter did not make the meeting.
Curt advised that Dave and Tara have completed their transition to Mesa West membership. We are all appreciative of the energy and Rotary commitment they brought to our club upon relocating from California. Thank you so inadequate to express our thanks. Best wishes and continued health and happiness.
Curt shared a book he is reading titled Pursuit of Happiness. Interesting reading about the historical context of the meaning of words 250 years ago and their classical context. The number of political philosophers that set up the context for the words in the Declaration, Constitution and Bill of Rights. A good read to see how modern man is changing the definitions and meanings to meet their partisan purposes. Highly recommended by our club counsel.
Chuck shared his family participation in scouting. We all knew of his personal engagement and participation in local scouting, but it was fun to hear how it has carried through his family.
A great time of visiting and conversation.
