Gilbert has a strong Interact Club at Gilbert High School.  What a cool way to learn about Rotary, future professions and vocations and service to our community!  Our Perry High School Interactors raise money for Crutches For Africa (C4A) and gather wheelchairs, crutches and other medical devices to assist disabled Africans who continue to suffer from the crippling effects of Polio.  Way to go Interactors!
Past-President Curt Ward and President-Elect Debe Mahoney are the Gilbert Rotary Club advisors to the Perry High School Interact Club.   In recognition of the accomplishments of two graduating seniors Loralli Johnson (shown on the right above) and Rylee Hanson, Gilbert Rotary Club awarded each a $1,000 scholarship for next year.   Loralli has been the Interact Club president and Interact District Governor of District 5495. Rylee was President of the Perry club last year and has served on the District 5495 Interact Board for two years. Both outstanding young ladies are  active participants in their community, school and Interact. Both worked tirelessly on the Crutches for Africa program and both have been ambassadors to Africa to deliver crutches and other medical devices to Africans who continue to suffer from the ravages of polio.  We are so proud of these two young women. Gilbert Rotary has bestowed Paul Harris Fellowships on each of them.  We wish Loralli and Rylee all continued success and best wishes.
